The piano trio has always held a special place in the jazz idiom. The combination of piano, bass and drums is intimate and complementary, and the interactional possibilities between musicians are boundless. The piano also thrives in duets with vocalists, and as a solo instrument it has no peer. I hope you enjoy my take on the modern jazz piano tradition in these settings featuring two of the finest purveyors of the art of rhythm sectioning, Greg Hutchinson and Reuben Rogers, and the impeccable vocal stylings of newcomer Erin Bode.
