John Proulx - Moon and Sand with Chuck Berghofer & Joe LaBarbera

MAXJAZZ is proud to introduce John Proulx (Prue), a young, highly talented vocalist, pianist and composer. With a voice that has shades of a young Chet Baker and an "in the pocket" piano style, John Proulx is on his way - and MAXJAZZ is pleased to bring him to you. Moon And Sand, John's debut release, is recorded with legendary musicians Chuck Berghofer (bass) and Joe LaBarbera (drums). The CD features classic standards and two original compositions, all of which showcase his distinctive talents as a vocalist and pianist.

Based in Los Angeles, John performs regularly with his own trio and with several all-star big bands. He has contributed compositions to recordings by other artists including Nancy Wilson ("These Golden Years" - upcoming release) and Mary Stallings ("Stuck In A Dream" - Remember Love).
