The Who - Who Are You

Sadly burdened by the trivia of being the last studio recording to feature drummer Keith Moon and thus closing the chapter on the band's original lineup, this 1978 release was also a major progression, not unlike what The Beatles and The Beach Boys undertook as they matured from their simple, rudimentary but still great early years. The album peaked at No. 2 on the Pop chart in the U.S., most likely prevented from going No. 1 by the Grease soundtrack. The lone single released, the title song "Who Are You" would become a concert staple, often expanded into a jam for Townshend's guitaristics, and then be licensed out in 2000 for the opening theme to the hit television show CSI: Crime Scene Investigations.

This venerable Classic was re-mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood from the original analog master tapes provided by The Who. Lacquers were cut on Classic's ALL TUBE cutting system, plated the next morning by Dorin Sauerbier at RTI and pressed on Classic Records 200g "Flat profile" on Semi-automatic presses at Bill Smith Custom Records.

This may be the definitive version of this recording on LP.
