This record was manufactured with Teldec's DMM Technology (Direct Metal Mastering) which was setting new standards for sound of superior purity, transparency and dynamics.

Erich Kunzel conducts the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra along with Frankie Laine on vocals in performing favorite western themes from movies and TV shows.

Frankie Laine sings themes from High Noon & Gunfight at the OK Corral. Laine also recreates the unforgettable Rawhide theme. The collection also contains movie themes such as Magnificent Seven, How the West Was Won and Big Country.

Recorded in Music Hall, Cincinnati on September 15 & 16, 1986
