180g Vinyl LP Reissue of the Duo's First Live Album!

Alive 1997 contains a 45-minute excerpt of a live performance recorded at Birmingham's Que Club on November 8, 1997. The album was originally released in 2001. The Birmingham performance is considered to be the group's favorite from their Daftendirektour.

Daft Punk is a French electronic music duo consisting of musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. Daft Punk reached significant popularity in the late 1990s house movement in France and met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house with synthpop. The duo's songs are considered essential in the French house scene.

"Alive 1997 reveals the French duo Daft Punk as one of the brightest entertainers in the occasionally stale world of album-based electronic dance...a tour de force of high-energy theatrics and flair...An energizing document, Alive 1997 is one of the few live records to approximate the excitement of the original live show." -John Bush, allmusic.com
